Sydney: Solidarity with anarchists in Yogyakarta
In the context of the annual week of solidarity with anarchist prisoners, some anarchists in Sydney visited the Indonesian consulate in Maroubra on Thursday the 23rd of August.
A banner was tied to the fence around the consulate reading: “Bebaskan tahanan perang kelas di Yogya” (Freedom for class war prisoners in Yogyakarta). Dozens of leaflets were also distributed and scattered outside the embassy.
Anarchists in Yogyakarta have faced a wave of repression following the 2018 May Day demonstration, which saw flaming barricades in the streets, a police post torched and a call for the local Sultan to be killed.
Dozens of anarchists and class war comrades were arrested following the demonstration and a number of them are still in prison facing trail.
We wish solidarity and strength to all anarchist and revolutionary prisoners in Indonesia and worldwide.

Sydney: Memorial graffiti for Dan & Spit
On the 4th of July 2018 some anarchists in Sydney painted a memorial piece for Dan Shersty and Lin (Spit) Newborn.
Dan and Spit were young anti-fascist skinheads, punk musicians, and founding members of the Las Vegas chapter of Anti-Racist Action.
On the 4th of July 1998 they were lured into the desert on the outskirts of Vegas and gunned down by a gang of 6 white supremacists, murdered by six known white supremacist, only three of whom ever served time for the murders.
Twenty years on, their memory is kept alive in the daily struggle against racism and fascist terror.

For almost a decade la ZAD in Notre Dame Des Landes has been an autonomous zone, liberated from the French republic. The zone is currently being attacked by a massive police operation intent on the complete destruction of this seed of another possible world, a world free from the logic of capital.

Victoria, Australia: Solidarity with imprisoned comrades from the Hambach forest occupation
Received on 05.02.18
Solidarity from so-called Victoria, Australia, with imprisoned comrades from the Hambach forest occupation in Germany. On January 22nd, cops raided tree houses and barricade structures in the forest, and took 9 people into custody. We took this photo as a small part of the international day of solidarity with the Hambi 9 on February 3rd.
The occupation has for years now been an amazing and inspiring site of resistance against the continued expansion of Europe’s largest coal mine. It is part of a global struggle against ecological destruction brought on by capitalism.
Freedom for eco-defenders everywhere!
Armidale, Australia: Invasion Day Banner Drops
received on 26.01.18
In the early hours of January 26th, 2018, banners were hung around so-called Armidale [city in the Northern Tablelands, New South Wales], with one facing out onto the parklands where Australia Day Festivities would be held later that day, reading “NO PRIDE IN GENOCIDE – JAN 26 = INVASION DAY”. This action was taken by non-Indigenous people as a minimal act of solidarity with the ongoing struggles of First Nations peoples.
“Armidale”, “Australia” : Shopping Center Intervention in Solidarity with Refugees on Manus Island
November 13th: People in So-Called Armidale, NSW, staged interventions in the town’s commercial hubs during peak afternoon shopping hours, using a megaphone to project statements and extracts of articles from Iranian refugee, Behrouz Boochani, who has been detained on Manus Island since 2014.
While hundreds of men are facing starvation, thirst and threats of violence on Manus Island, the interventions disrupted the everyday monotony and insulation of our daily routines. These actions aimed to amplify the voices of refugees that are silenced, distorted and disregarded in our society.
In solidarity with refugees in their fight for total freedom.

“Melbourne, Australia”: Disruption of Vinci and French Consulate
Received January 23rd:
To the defenders of the ZAD,
Solidarity from anarchists in so-called ‘Melbourne, Australia’- the never-ceded indigenous land of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation, stolen and occupied by the genocidal settler-colonial state.
In response to recent threats of violent eviction by the French State, actions were taken at several locations in Melbourne, the city built on the stolen lands of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation, in colonised Australia. The actions targetted the French consulate and offices of companies of the VINCI corporate-family linked to the proposed destruction of land at the Zone-A-Defendre [Zone to Defend].
The French consulate was attacked with paint and its locks were stuffed and glued.
The Offices of Menard-Bachy and Fressynet (both companies owned by VINCI), had their windows broken and slogans in support of the ZAD painted on the facade.
The Melbourne office of Electrix (a company owned by VINCI) was redecorated with a number of slogans celebrating resistance to VINCI’s plans.

Melbourne, so-called Australia: Paint and sledgehammer attack against BAE Systems
In the final hours of December 2015 we attacked the offices of the defense contractor BAE Systems on River Boulevard in Richmond with paint and sledge hammers.
BAE Systems make billions from war and their technology is responsible for countless civilian deaths worldwide.
This action was carried out as part of Black December, a month of anarchist direct action that was initiated by the anarchist prisoners Nikos Romanos and Panagiotis Argirou in Greece.
We also carried out this action in solidarity with anarchist prisoners held hostage by states worldwide and in solidarity with Indigenous prisoners held hostage by the colonist ‘authorities’ here in so-called ‘Australia’ – all of whom are political prisoners.
Black December is everywhere!

Melbourne, Australia: Antifascist fund-raiser in support of Rocinante anarcho-syndicalist initiative
RIOT DOG is an ALL AGES antifascist fund-raiser, in support of our Greek anarchist mates Rocinante that are part of a movement fighting Golden Dawn.
Golden Dawn have unleashed a wave of terror and violence in the streets in every major city and region in Greece; they are a fascist group targeting immigrants, activists, and the LBGT community.
To show our support for Rocinante and other groups fighting fascism around the world, come down to Black Goat on the 11th of May and catch some very fine bands. Come early to participate in skype talks with Greek activists, see some great films, Q & A seminar, burlesque, comedians, and some rocking bands and DJs.
Saturday, May 11th – Starts 3pm at Black Goat Warehouse.
