Received on 10/11/2018; for the case of Mikhail Zhlobitsky check here and here:Narrm / Melbourne so-called Australia: Graffiti mural in memory of 17 year old Russian Anarchist-Communist Mikhail Zhlobitsky who died while carrying out an explosive attack against the FSB (Federal Security Service) Regional Headquarters in Arkhangelsk, Russia on October 31st.
Solidarity from anarchists in so-called ‘Melbourne, Australia’- the never-ceded indigenous land of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation, stolen and occupied by the genocidal settler-colonial state.
In response to recent threats of violent eviction by the French State, actions were taken at several locations in Melbourne, the city built on the stolen lands of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation, in colonised Australia. The actions targetted the French consulate and offices of companies of the VINCI corporate-family linked to the proposed destruction of land at the Zone-A-Defendre [Zone to Defend].
The French consulate was attacked with paint and its locks were stuffed and glued.
The Offices of Menard-Bachy and Fressynet (both companies owned by VINCI), had their windows broken and slogans in support of the ZAD painted on the facade.
The Melbourne office of Electrix (a company owned by VINCI) was redecorated with a number of slogans celebrating resistance to VINCI’s plans.
In the final hours of December 2015 we attacked the offices of the defense contractor BAE Systems on River Boulevard in Richmond with paint and sledge hammers.
BAE Systems make billions from war and their technology is responsible for countless civilian deaths worldwide.
This action was carried out as part of Black December, a month of anarchist direct action that was initiated by the anarchist prisoners Nikos Romanos and Panagiotis Argirou in Greece.
We also carried out this action in solidarity with anarchist prisoners held hostage by states worldwide and in solidarity with Indigenous prisoners held hostage by the colonist ‘authorities’ here in so-called ‘Australia’ – all of whom are political prisoners.
Melbourne, Australia: In the early hours of Sunday, August 30th we attached a banner to a fence outside the Richmond railway station in inner-city Melbourne as a minimum expression of our participation in this year’s International Week of Solidarity with Anarchist Prisoners.
INSURGENT SOLIDARITY WITH ANARCHIST PRISONERS!
FIRE TO THE PRISONS AND THE SOCIETY THAT KEEPS BUILDING THEM!
Melbourne, Australia, 23.06.15: A banner was placed on fencing near Richmond railway station as a slightly belated small contribution to the June 20-22 International Days of Action for Marco Camenisch.
Solidarity with Marco Camenisch and all revolutionary prisoners held hostage by the state worldwide!
In Melbourne on the night of June 13 a banner was hung for the June 13 International Day of Solidarity with Anarchists Facing Persecution from the Spanish state. The banner was hung from a cyclone fence that directly faces busy Punt Rd in Richmond, right near Richmond station and not far from the MCG sports ground.
Solidarity with all anarchist comrades facing persecution via Operation Pandora and Operation Piñata repressive police actions!
11.05.15: Graffiti & flyer action in the inner-city suburbs of Melbourne for the anarchist comrades facing repression inside the dungeons of the Chilean state. Slogans sprayed for Nataly, Juan and Guillermo – on hunger strike since April 13th-14th – and for Tamara Sol Vergara and Natalia Tato Collado. Flyers pasted about the case of Tamara Sol Vergara and the hunger strike of Nataly, Juan & Guillermo.
RIOT DOG is an ALL AGES antifascist fund-raiser, in support of our Greek anarchist mates Rocinante that are part of a movement fighting Golden Dawn.
Golden Dawn have unleashed a wave of terror and violence in the streets in every major city and region in Greece; they are a fascist group targeting immigrants, activists, and the LBGT community.
To show our support for Rocinante and other groups fighting fascism around the world, come down to Black Goat on the 11th of May and catch some very fine bands. Come early to participate in skype talks with Greek activists, see some great films, Q & A seminar, burlesque, comedians, and some rocking bands and DJs.
Saturday, May 11th – Starts 3pm at Black Goat Warehouse.
On the 6th of February, in answer to a worldwide call-out to support anarchists in Egypt facing repression, we gathered outside the Egyptian consulate in Melbourne. A related invitation can be found here. Below are photos from the action.
On the night of Friday/Saturday August 25 the following actions were carried out in the Northern suburbs of the city:
1. Baptist church & child brainwashing centre sprayed with the slogan ‘PEDO CHRIST’.
2. Railway station underpass sprayed with the slogan ‘FUCK METRO’ and anarchy symbol. (Metro is the private company responsible for running Melbourne’s so-called ‘public’ transport system.)
3. 2nd railway underpass sprayed with slogans ‘DONT WORK: RIOT!’, ‘MASS MEDIA LIES!’ & ‘FUCK THE POLICE STATE!’
4. Evangelical church sprayed with the slogans ‘JESUS RAPES’ & ‘FUCK RELIGION’.
5. Shell Service Station wall sprayed with the slogans: ‘DONT WORK: RIOT!’, ‘VIVA FAI / IRF!’, ‘FAI / IRF’ & ‘FUCK THE POLICE!’
These small acts were carried out as a belated contribution to the international call-out from Contra Info for anti-repression propaganda actions & also out of general anger & frustration at the lack of any meaningful actions in this city in a long time & also at the fact that there seems to be a church on nearly every fucking block these days!
Unfortunately it was not practical to take photos, and in any case the slogans on the churches were quickly removed the next day – no doubt by horrified church employees! Hopefully the other slogans will stay up much longer.
