A 3-day queer festival will be held in Athens from tonight up to Sunday. The poster reads (the translation is not 100% word-to-word):
“What Queer Fest?
Gender, class, nation, body, sexuality, desire
3 days with talks, performances, screenings, collective cooking and collective resistances; our stances are our pursuits, which reflect our desires; queries about gender issues, about personal issues that become political issues. 3 days with concerts, parties and workshops, during which we will chart our experiences, reexamine our political tools, self-organise ourselves, free our desires, form networks and communities, sculpt intimacy including our differences, and make our way through the urban environment.
Queers and feminists, lesbians and gays, freaks and abnormals, transexuals and the tomboys of the assembly.
