On December 18th, 2012 the appeals court of Piraeus dismissed the umpteenth motion of Savvas Xiros for his release from Koridallos prison on health grounds and home hospitalization. This time, the court ruled that the motion cannot be accepted and examined formally because it was not filed during the prisoner’s treatment in hospital.
As a token of solidarity with Savvas Xiros, 65 men who are held in various Greek prisons abstained from prison meals on the 17th and the 18th of December.
