The call for this year’s June 11th, International Day of Solidarity with Marius Mason, Eric McDavid & All Longterm Anarchist Prisoners, is titled Transition: The struggle’s not over… Check it out here, and send information about J11 events, materials and any reportbacks to june11th[at]riseup.net and supportmariusmason[at]riseup.net.
The J11 Heart Poster reads:
My body is trapped here,
but my heart is with you still fighting out there…
Marius Mason is currently serving 22 years in prison for acts of sabotage targeting the environmentally destructive forces of capitalism. Each year on June 11th, we set aside time to bring attention to our longest imprisoned comrades, including Marius and others, in order to keep their stories on our lips and their names on the walls. We do this to foil the State’s sinister project of erasing comrades from our lives, our movements and our memories.
As the struggle intensifies in the streets and behind the prison walls, let’s remember our comrades serving long sentences. We fight for our own freedom, for theirs, and for all those locked in cages.
Let’s stoke the flames of rebellion born in the streets of Ferguson, Santiago, Montreal and Oakland. Let’s spread the unrest bubbling in the prisons of Alabama, Greece, Ohio, and Belgium. It’s the successful conclusion of these revolts – global revolution – that will best return our captive friends and comrades to our arms.
Solidarity with Marius Mason, Eric McDavid and all longterm anarchist prisoners.
