Lyon, France: Black February solidarity banner

In the context of Black February, the ‘antifascist youth’ of the Croix-Rousse made and hung a banner on the central avenue of this historic neighbourhood, namely on a building well known for its mural that always attracts the eye of passers-by… This act was in support to those who fight against the latest wave of repression in Greece, and especially in solidarity with squatted spaces that were attacked.

The banner refers to the 19th of January 2013 (the day of re-eviction of Villa Amalias squat and eviction of Skaramaga squat in Athens), and reads: ‘From Lyon to Athens: 2,120 kilometers of solidarity. Antiracists of Croix-Rousse’
