Seville, Spanish State: Three-day anti-prison event

Thursday, February 21st
6pm: Discussion on ‘Covert life sentence’ by Miguel Montes Neiro, imprisoned for 36 years, and Eduardo Millán, lawyer with the 17 March group
The event will take place at the Aula Magna in the Faculty of Philology (Rectorate), on San Fernando street

Friday, February 22nd
7pm: Screening of the documentary ‘Hush, torture is here’
8pm: Discussion on ‘The consequences of the 2004 Quatre Camins prison riot’ by Jose Solís, who suffered reprisals for involvement in the riot
10pm: Reading of prisoners’ letters – Anti-prison poetry by Georgina Oró

Saturday, February 23rd
6pm: Discussion on ‘Women and prison – Silenced voices: Realities of women (ex)prisoners’ by the Cuarto Grado collective
10pm: ‘Sing for freedom’ flamenco night with Francisco Vera Ratera from El Saucejo (singing and toque, guitar playing), Juan Antonio Sodi from La Línea (singing), Steve Bertteleti from Seville (toque), La Molinita from Dos Hermanas (singing), and Willy Leal from Seville (singing)

On the 22nd and the 23rd, events will take place at the Sin Nombre squat in San Bernardo neighbourhood (including bar and rich vegan tapas).
