As reported on Indymedia Athens, in the early hours of Tuesday, August 28th, at about 2am, a gang of 14 Golden Dawn thugs (with distinctive features), riding on 7 motorcycles, beat up and stabbed a young migrant from Bangladesh named Asim, at the tram stop of Floisvos Park in the district of Palaio Faliro.
The neo-Nazi thugs kicked and beat him with boots and bats before stabbing him 4 times! The young migrant – known at Exarchia square as a street vendor – was moved to a central hospital of Athens.
In complicity with the neo-Nazis, the cops refused to connect the incident with the Golden Dawn, and did not launch the standard procedure for in fraganti crimes (where suspected perpetrators are arrested on the scene or within a 24hour deadline), but rather suggested to people supporting the case of Asim to limit themselves in filing a formal complaint.
As soon as we have info on the medical state of Asim we will update this post.

September 3rd, 2012: There was a similar knife assault by two fascists (described as Golden Dawn supporters) on a motorbike which took place against a migrant opposite the self-managed park of Kyprou and Patission streets, in downtown Athens. The migrant was hospitalized after he suffered injuries to his back but his life is reportedly out of danger.
