On August 9th, Giorgos Polidoros was moved in handcuffs from Corfu closed prison to Grevena general detention facility, in a disciplinary transfer. At first the jailers of Grevena prison attempted a full body pat-down while the comrade was still handcuffed. He resisted, and the jailers were forced to back off, but they charged him with a new disciplinary offense of insubordination.
Currently he is confined in the prison’s guardhouse. After an intervention by both him and the inmates from E2 wing (where comrade Christos Tsakalos is incarcerated), the prison service and the sergeant Yannis Ramogiannis committed themselves to move Giorgos Polidoros after the disciplinary penalty’s end (he’s punished for five days) in the particular wing.
