Chania: Gathering and demo of students during the nationalist march. Today, members of the Chania students’ society, along with other pupils of occupied schools, university students and people who came in solidarity, gathered at Andreas Papandreou Avenue and interrupted the nationalist march by landing a demonstration in the middle of it. Around 400 people participated in this action against the privatization of the educational system that is been forwarded in Greece. Police forces tried to stop them and this caused tension. The cops removed the officials from the platform, the protest of the youngsters continued till the Municipal Agora were it ended in the form of a sitting demonstration.
Xanthi: early in the morning of 28th 2 comrades were arrested in their attempt of burning down the plattform that was set up for the officials. Police is looking for one more person that escaped the arrest.
Giannena: during the nationalist march, students of the department of Mechanics and science of materials tried to unfold a banner in order to protest for their diploma rights. Cops immediately surrounded them and took them by force to the police station where people in solidarity were gathered after the event. The rector of the univercity of Ioannina asked the release of the students. This took place only after the end of the march.
In the island of Lesbos: on the 25th, 26th and 27th comrades distributed pamphlets to the students of the schools against the nationalist marches. Action has been taken also on the 27th in the central Agora of the city with a sound system intervention that called the citizens to disapprove this custom of fascist inspiration. On the 28th pamphlets were distributed again and flyers were thrown to the streets that were making part of the marches’ itinerary
Kozani: the Assembly of anarchists/antiauthoritarian distributed pamphlets against the marches in the central square of the city.
