Larissa, Greece: Antonis Stamboulos, on hunger strike since 2/3, currently hospitalised

On Friday morning, April 3rd, anarchist prisoner on hunger strike Antonis Stamboulos, participant in the Network of Imprisoned Fighters (DAK), was transferred to the hospital in Larissa, where physicians on duty denied his treatment because he refused to take in intravenous drips. Then the hunger striker was moved back to Larissa prison.

The same day, at evening, Antonis Stamboulos was readmitted to the hospital of Larissa, where he’s being guarded in a special room-cell. The comrade has lost 18.6% of his initial body weight and receives only water from the mouth. He presents with symptoms such as severe weakness, fatigue after minimal exertion, dizziness aggravated by standing up (orthostatic hypotension), hypoglycemia and hyperuricemia.
