Piedmont, Italy: Sabotage against the construction site of Milan-Genoa high-speed railway line

Two construction machines at Terzo Valico (‘third mountain pass’) were put out of action in Voltaggio; communique published on March 18th:

Terzo Valico vehicles sabotaged – It’s a quiet night, with no wind, only a few machines, but then something unexpected happens, a flash… a bolt of lightning comes out of the clear sky of Voltaggio, and strikes two Caterpillar machines dedicated to the construction of the Terzo Valico project. An excavator and an asphalt compactor are rendered useless. The lightning bolt disappears, just as suddenly as it appeared, but it’s certain we will see more of that given the way the wind is blowing. The Terzo Valico is long, but you, devastators, will find it even longer. A thought for Baleno, Sole and Guccio, their names live on in the fight against the TAV.
